A sneak peek into the plot of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2
The Death Painting Arc concluded the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen, encompassing chapters 55-64 of the manga. Assuming a chronological adaptation of the source material, the next arc in season two will likely be Gojo’s Past Arc, which covers chapters 65-79. However, it’s possible that these flashbacks may be combined with the manga’s next major arc, the Shibuya Incident, spanning chapters 79-136. This would mean significant character development and the revelation of the mole hidden within Jujutsu High.
A post-credits scene in Jujutsu Kaisen 0 hinted at the arrival of Yuta, which is exciting news in theory. However, it spells trouble for Yuji.
In February 2023, the creators confirmed that Toji Fushiguro would be making his appearance in the initial episodes of the new season. The official website describes him as “a mysterious man commissioned to assassinate Riko Amanai. He’s known as the Sorcerer Killer.” This character’s role will have a direct impact on Megumi, and his backstory will likely be explored since Toji is Megumi’s son. This is a tragic backstory as Toji wasn’t the best parent in the world. Toji made his debut in Chapter 66 and is affiliated with the Time Vessel Association.
